August 6, 2008 (RELEASE) -- ANB Futbol Showcase Teams (U-16 &
U-18) have returned from a thirteen day US showcase tour, organized by the
Rated Sports Recruit http://www.ratedsports.com with good results on &
off the field.
The
ANB Team competed in the Score Showcase in Greensboro North Carolina
http://www.thescoretournaments.com from July 23 to
July 30 then traveled to Delaware to compete in the Kirkwood Showcase
http://www.kirkwoodsoccer.org from August 1 to August 4.
The Score Showcase had a record 120 university coaches in attendance while the
Kirkwood Showcase had 30 university coaches including Penn State one of the top
10 schools in the USA. Both showcases featured first class soccer fields and
the Score Showcase in Greensboro had the best level of refereeing we have ever
experienced.
The Sixth tour was great overall; we are very pleased with the display of
talent from the ANB players, interest generated and gamesmanship of both
teams Said Bassam Naim, Academy Director.
The highlights of the tour were as follows:
-U-16 finishing first in the qualifying group in North Carolina.
-U-18 finishing undefeated in the Kirkwood showcase
