ANB U14 Girls participate in the ADS (Attack, Defend and Save) Camp

July 08, 2009 (RELEASE) -- ANB U-14 girls program participates in the Indiana University Perdue University ADS training camp 2009.

The ANB Academy U14 Girls Program recently returned from the Indiana University – Purdue University – Fort Wayne (IPFW) ADS Camp 2009.

The ADS (Attack, Defend and Save) Camp is designed for high school female soccer players. The camp offered our ANB U14 Girls program players a forum in which to receive professional coaching, display their talent in front of college coaches, and provide exposure and potential interest from other colleges and universities. Also, the camp provided an opportunity for the team to play competitive games against local Fort Wayne teams.

IPFW Women’s team and ADS Camp coaches Margaret Saurin and Joe DeMay noted “We really enjoyed working with the players and were really impressed with how much progress they made in such a short time. They are already talented players but to see them incorporate so much new information, especially on a tactical level, so quickly was truly terrific to watch.”

ANB Futbol U14 Girls program Coach Dave Tooke and manager Matt Sheridan also saw some incredible growth in the girls and not just in their soccer skills. “All players got a chance to be themselves, take some risks and show their true character during the training sessions as well as during the time back in the university dorms. The camaraderie and confidence that was nurtured throughout the group was exceptional”. They noted “when you think that we just started this program less than 6 months ago, its almost hard to believe”.

ANB academy's vision is to become Canada’s leading soccer development organization. Its mission is to identify Canadian soccer talent, and to maximize the potential of players at any level, through professional coaching and training.
