ANB Futbol - Player success

ANB Futbol is pleased to announce accomplishments by many ANB Futbol athletes (male & female) in the past few months and following the ANB 6th annual ID Camp:

ANB Futbol ID Camp:

Dan Manolache (1999 born)
- Received official invitation from Le Havre (France - Ligue 2) to join club's Formation Centre
- Family will be moving to France to comply with FIFA Article 19 - "International Transfer involving Minors"

Adonijah Reid (1999 born)
- Received official invitation from Olympique Lyonnais (France - Ligue 1) to official youth 3 week trial in September, 2014
- Additionally, Millwall FC (England - Championship) has indicated they will be offering a youth trial

Samantha Valliant (1994 born)
- Invitation by various clubs (Paris St-Germain, Rouen, Chelsea FC, Arsenal) to trials with Sr. Women's team

Kelsey Araujo (1998 born)
- Invitation by various clubs (Chelsea FC, Evian, Olympique Lyonnais) to start process of trials with Sr. Women's team

Faith Ruetas (2001 born)
- Invitation by Chelsea Ladies (England - FA Women's Super League) to start process of trials with Sr. Women's team

Additionally, there are various players (listed below), from ANB Futbol and other local clubs, identified by the visiting professional coaches who they would like to invite for a 2 to 3 week assessment at Troyes AC, pending the club's Academy Director hosting budget approval:

- Mansoor Afzaly (1997 born)
- Justin Brown (1998 born)
- Alistair Johnston (1998 born)
- Alessandro Tansella (1999 born)
- Gregory Moulopoulos (1999 born)
- Matthew Rosolen (1999 born - from local GTA club)

Visiting coaches will continue to monitor their progress throughout the year by the ANB Academy Director and visits throughout the year.

Pablo Mendoza (1998 born)
- Received official invitation to train with futsal club, Saeta Bogota (www.copapostobolmicrofutbol.com), for 6 weeks in summer, 2014 (mid-July to end of August)

US College Soccer Scholarship athletes:

Davis Hocking (1996 born)
- Presently part of ANB U-20 team
- Accepted soccer scholarship to St. Peter's University (New Jersey) - Div. 1 MAAC Conf.
- ANB Academy member since 2007 and has participated in numerous US College Showcase trips and European tours with his team at ANB
- Strong left-sided defender who has seen a lot of growth throughout the years

Uday Arora (1996 born)
- Presently part of ANB U-20 team
- Accepted soccer scholarship to Mercyhurst College (Penn.) - Div. 2 PSAC Conf.
- ANB Academy member since 2011 and has participated in numerous US College Showcase trips

Kelsey Araujo (1998 born)
- Presently part of Sr. Girls program ('99 / '98)
- Verbally accepted soccer scholarship to Niagara University (N.Y.) - Div. 1 MAAC Conf.

Various senior athletes are pursuing scholarship opportunities in Canada and the United States.

Many strong impressions were made at the recent ANB Int'l ID Camp and college coaches are in constant contact with players and ANB coaches.

"I am very proud of the athletes' achievements, although this is just another step in their soccer aspirations. I am confident they will continue to work hard and take with them what they have learned from their coaches and the ANB philosophy. We are proud to see them succeeding in their own way and with different teams. We will continue to work with all ANB athletes to ensure their dreams become reality," said Academy Director, Bassam Naim.
