THE ANB ACADEMY ANNOUNCES ITS 3RD ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL ID SCOUTING CAMP.

The ANB Academy is pleased to announce its 3rd Annual International ID scouting camp taking place on Saturday & Sunday, 11 & 12 June, 2011 on the futbol grounds of The Country Day School (King City, Ontario), home of The ANB Academy. The camp will be open to all male players throughout Canada between 12 to 18 years of age. Youth coaches and scouts from the following European clubs will be testing, observing and scouting the participants:

* Coach Francois Rodrigues, SM Caen, French Ligue 1
* Coach Jean-Philippe Nallet, St. Etienne Loire, French Ligue 1
* Coach Luc Benard, French Football Federation, France
* Scout Guillaume DuMoulin, Passion Foot / A.J. Auxerre, France
* Scout Bob Bennett, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, England
* Coach Andjelko Ivanjko, Dinamo Zagreb, Croatia
* Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Caglar, Kayserispor FC, Turkey
* Scout Ian Lavery, Everton FC, England

Camp schedule:

Saturday 11 June, 2011:
Daytime – Technique testing & small sided games
Evening – Presentation on the French, British, European youth formation systems

Sunday 12 June, 2011:
Daytime – Technique, fitness testing & full sided games

Camp objectives:

1. Assess Canadian youth talent level in comparison to the European player.
2. Players who demonstrate the skill and talent to handle a European trial will be approached on an individual basis.
3. Players who show ability but need additional preparation will be approached on an individual basis.

In the past two years, several players were invited to various trials in England and France, based on their strong showing in the ID Camp. Registration is limited to a maximum of 90 players, based on a first come, first serve basis.

“This event is the first of its kind in North America especially in Canada, we look forward to working with all our European colleagues & the participants to access the talent pool. We anticipate confirmations from other club coaches, including the Canadian Soccer Association, as we get closer to the date of the event,” said Bassam Naim, Academy Director.
