WAS STRONGLY REPRESENTED AT THE 30TH AEFCA/UEFA SYNPOSIUM IN MINSK
BELARUS

14, 2009 (RELEASE) -- From October 25-29th, Bassam Naim, Director of
The ANB Academy Futbol and Gary Miller, President of Bryst International
Football Academy, attended the 30th Symposium of the Alliance of European
Football Coaches Associations (AEFCA), hosted by the Belarusian Football
Federation Minsk, Belarus.

The
conference included high level representatives of all 52 European federations.
Andy Roxburgh, UEFA Technical Director, Gerard Houllier, FFF National Technical
Director, Gus Hiddink, Russian National Team Coach and Holger Osieck, FIFA
Technical Consultant, amongst others, were in attendance. The theme of the
Symposium was, Improving the Game by Learning From the Best.
Major topics of the conference included:
The FIFA Confederation Cup 2009, South Africa - Technical Review.
Finding Fabregas Developing Top Players.
Different Culture Groups Different Coaching.
The Way to South Africa Panel Discussion.
Periodization in Football.
Ingredients for Success.
Of particular interest to the Canadian Academy System were two topics;
developing top players & ingredients for success, and how this might
influence coaching and youth development. This was a great opportunity for SAAC
representatives to network with top football people from all over the world,
share ideas and bring the information back to the Canadian Academy system.
