Have Successfully Passed the US National Youth License.
October 25, 2007 (RELEASE) -- ANB Soccer, as the founding member of
SAAC (Soccer Academy Alliance Canada), is pleased to announce that three of its
academy futbol coaches (Marcelo Almeida, Richard Bucciarelli and Bassam Naim)
have successfully passed the US National Youth License that took place in
Phoenix Arizona from September 4th to the 9th, 2007.
The US
National Youth License focuses upon the nature of children and the adjustments
adults must make to coach them. The course curriculum covers the ages of 4-12
years old. Each day of the course, the focus is upon one of the traditional
soccer age groups of U6, U8, U10 or U12. Each day, children of the appropriate
age group are brought to the course site for the candidates to work with them
in a practice training session. The candidates are videotaped while coaching
the kids and the video is reviewed with each candidate to aid in the education
of the coach. The course combines both classroom (theory) and field (practical)
sessions. The course concludes with written, oral and practical examinations.
The National Youth License course is six days in length.
Every candidate had to deliver the following course materials:
· Laws of the game
· U-8 lesson plan for field session
· Group presentation on team and risk management
· U-6 lesson plan for field session
· U-10 lesson plan for field session
· Group presentation on care and prevention of injuries
· U-12 lesson plan for field session
· Candidate coaching philosophy paper
· Methodology exam · Oral presentation/exam
The objective of the US national Youth License is to educate the coaches that
have a tremendous influence on the development of a life-long passion for the
game.
